VETERINARY NURSE POSITION AVAILABLE

We’re searching for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly mixed practice 4 days a week.

Our team consists of 4 Vets, 3 Nurses and 1 practice dog. This role is diverse and involves reception as well as surgical and medical nursing roles.

Applicants should have:

* Minimum 2 years experience working in a busy veterinary practice.

* Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.

* Flexible approach to working hours. Shifts usually 10 – 6pm or 8 – 4pm.

* Able to work 1:3 weekends (Saturdays 9 – 12pm) and occasionally on call after hours. We are closed Sundays and Bank holidays.

* Ability to work independently and can multi task.

* Have confidence and excel in performing tasks such as: IV catheter placement, blood collection, monitoring anesthesia, assisting with surgical procedures as well as general nursing duties.

* Be able to provide excellent customer service and patient care.

Donated blood in veterinary medicine can be used for numerous things including support during a difficult surgery, to raise the red blood cell volume in anaemic patients and administered to those suffering from bleeding disorders ๐Ÿฉบ๐Ÿ’‰

HERO OF THE WEEK

Romy was called in this week to donate blood to help save a patient who presented with anaemia (low in red blood cells). Romy was very brave throughout the entire process and donated 250ml of whole blood. We are pleased to share that his donation truly made the world of difference to the recipient, who is now feeling much better! ๐Ÿถ ๐Ÿพ ๐Ÿฆธโ€โ™‚๏ธ
